Nora Samayoa is passionate about educational equity. She began her career in 2018 as a “Teach for America” corps member in Birmingham, Alabama, where she taught Spanish for 3 years at Huffman High School and 1 year at Magic City Acceptance Academy. In 2022, Nora transitioned out of the classroom to be the Alumni Engagement Manager for Teach for America before joining Birmingham Talks as a Family Engagement Manager in 2023. From making sure her students were heard to joining the HICA Junior Board, Nora has been involved with the Spanish-speaking community since moving to Birmingham. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family & friends, hiking, and overall just being in nature.
