Cahaba River Society

Cahaba River Society History

The Cahaba River Society was founded in 1988 to promote the understanding, appreciation, enjoyment, protection, and stewardship of Alabama's longest free-flowing river; to secure the adoption of sound water resource management policies and programs at the local and state levels; and to facilitate the development of a strong network of river conservation organizations across Alabama.
