The Cahaba River Watershed Project is an exhibition of the collaborative project of three artists exploring the Cahaba River’s ecological and geological features and how they have shaped the economic and social history of the watershed. The prints feature images derived from drawing, photography, 3D scanning of natural objects, and 3D modeling from original maps and diagrams. Each artist has pursued individual interests with the Cahaba and then work together in combining images through printing.
Scott Stephens and Lee Somers are art faculty at the University of Montevallo and Elisabeth Pellathy teaches at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The exhibition at Paperworkers Local will be open on Saturdays in December and January from 11-4 EXCEPT for December 23 and 30. The show will close January 27, 2018.
